Scrapbook Layout: Cake Smash

I used Two Peas 4X6 Photo Love: March layout as inspiration for my layout about Siena's birthday cake smash.

I made the yo-yo's using material leftover from her shirt and banner. I have never made yo-yo's before but they were super easy to do. I loved adding that little touch that makes the layout that much more personal.

Scrapbook Layout: Mickey Girl

I finally got around to scrapbooking this photo of Siena when she was 1 week old with mickey ears!

I used the Sweetness collection from Pink Paislee that I received from a RAK on their blog. When I first completed this layout it seemed like the edges of the yellow paper where not finished so I trimmed my layout by an 1/8 inch on each side and added cardstock as the background. Now I feel like the layout is complete.

Scrapbook Layout: First Digital Layout

I created my first digital scrapbook page last week after I finally got my husband to buy me photoshop elements (thanks to this post).

Since I have only messed around in photoshop a couple times I watched this video from Ali Edwards and used her free template to complete the layout below about Siena's first Mardi Gras parade.

Scrapbook Layout: At The Park

The following layout I created about taking Siena to the park for the first time. The photos I printed as a 8x10 collage at Walgreens (for free during their sale last week!) and cut it down so the top and bottom borders were equal to the side borders.

Then I pulled out a bunch of pink and green scraps from various manufacturers: Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, My Minds Eye, and October Afternoon. The title is made using October Afternoon, My Little Shoebox and American Crafts letters.

Journaling: We took Siena to the park today for the first time. We went to City Park, which has a playground for 2-3 year olds and one for older children. It was Sunday morning and very quiet at the park – no one was on the younger playground. Siena was not really interested in the play equipment though; she just wanted to go see the dogs in the dog park. However, we did take her down the slide, swung her in the swings and chased her around a little bit.

Lists

I love lists and I have not documented much about myself since Siena came along, so when I saw this blog post by Elizabeth Kartchner I was inspired...

wearing: capris and tanks on the weekends

working on: a mini album for Siena with photos of family members

eating: s’more granola bars everyday

dreaming of: Hawaii

realizing: to play outside with Siena you have to wear clothes that can get dirty

impatiently waiting: for my husband to buy me Photoshop Elements

anticipating: eating king cake bread pudding at Bistro Byronz

loving: how Siena scrunches up her nose

stalking: my nook

feeling: quite happy

Layout: Thankful 2010

Below is a layout showing Siena's first Thanksgiving. The journaling talks about how she almost missed thanksgiving dinner and that her first tooth decided to cut through.

I used Cosmo Cricket: Circa 1934 paper - which I love! The thankful tag and journaling tag are from Pink Paislee. The title is thickers from American Crafts.

Scapbook Layout: Sunday in the Park

I have not shared a layout in a while...this layout showcases one of my favorite photos of Siena. The photo was taken while we were at Sunday in the Park a great, free concert in downtown Baton Rouge.

I used lots of October Afternoon papers and some American Crafts flowers. I took my inspiration for the layout from this blog.
